LES BOUGAINVILLIERS
An architecture of memories-
Lost paradise exhibiting a collection of photographs,
tracing the force that links the absent to a space, to the land.
A house at the corner of Damascus Street and Antoun Edde Street,
Behind the three arches opening was the living room,
Around it, the bedrooms offered an unobstructed view over what later became the Green Line.
The adjoining room, filled with old Italian furniture, could have made us relive a Visconti movie scene.
Next to the kitchen, a dartboard was hanging on the door.
Once a playground, once a friends dinner host, once a piano lesson stage, once a movie decor,
Once demolished,
That was the house at the corner of Damascus Street and Antoun Edde Street
